BEST TIME TO GO:

There is something all year round in Japan so depending on what you want to see your travel expert will advise the best time of year for you.

MUST DO:

  • Take the bullet train
  • See Kyotos temples

  • Chao chao Gyoza in Kyoto – with a reputation of the best gyoza in japan
  • Kiji Okonomiyaki – Small chain restaurant with authentic Japanese savoury pancakes (Tokyo, Kyoto)
  • Any Izakaya (they are everywhere)

GETTING THERE:

Air New Zealand have direct flights to Tokyo and seasonally into Osaka also. Depending on where you would like to go other airlines have excellent options also.
